I have an interset in the fragility of materials and the environment in which they are placed and I am also drawn to making work that has restrictions in its lifespan. i.e. a set timescale, either manmade or natural.
Working with nature, within a landscape, by temporal creative intervention for the human audience, as, for me, a beauty in its efficiency.
I learned the power of the temporary whilst working as a sculptor with Ray Mahabir at the Notting Hill Carnival, London 2002. The experience if this genre and the preciousness of the event led me to explore the larger group project that are prevelent in the West Indies, in 2003 I worked with Geraldo Vierra, 3rd prize for King, Trinidad.
